Our Services
REMEDIAL MASSAGE
Remedial Massage is an advanced massage modality applied for the purpose of a
positive therapeutic effect to the musculoskeletal system, creating a neural response and co expect to all systems of the human body. Commonly regarded
in SPORTS MASSAGE for treating sports injuries and ailments.
TRIGGER POINT MASSAGE
Trigger Point is a point of congestion which can develop in muscle, tendon,
ligament, fascia and even organ muscle tissue. 3 main types are a line of
referral, a satellite referral or a broad referral. TTP points and referrals are
stimulated using techniques by the Practitioner designed to release the TPT
congestion in turn relieving local and referred pain.
MYOFASCIAL THERAPY
Myofascial therapy in essence is any technique that treats the MYO (muscle)
and the fascial tissue, which is a thin crisscross tissue (mostly Collagen) that
surrounds and compartmentalises all our muscular/skeletal muscle and internal
organs. MFT is a broad-based hand/knuckle and forearm/elbow technique
that manipulates both the super
sal and deep myofascial tissues.
ENERGY TECHNIQUES
There is always a positive energy exchange no matter what modality is being
applied. The two main specific energy modalities are Reiki and Polarity. Reiki is
the recruitment of universal energy and Polarity is the balancing of one’s own
energy within.
MET (MUSCLE ENERGY TECHNIQUE) AND PNF (PROPRIO NEUROMUSCULAR FACILITATION)
MET is a manual therapy that uses gentle muscle contractions to encourage
muscles to relax and lengthen to improve joint motion. PNF is a manual
therapy that uses stretch and client resistance techniques to enhance active
and passive range of motion to improve motor performance and to aid
recovery and rehabilitation.
BOWAN THERAPY
Bowen therapy is a manual remedial technique that has mostly a gentle
application to fascial anatomy, musculo/tendon junctions, muscle belly points
and peripheral nerve points. Bowen has the ability to help encourage the bodies to own healing processes to bring about balance and harmony (homeostasis) and is a very complementary therapy to many modalities.
CRANIO SACRAL THERAPY
CST is a very passively applied technique at the cranium, spine, sacrum and
peripheral muscular/skeletal system. Its objective is to release tensions and
miss alignments both acute and chronic to the above systems. CST can be very
profoundly effective and complement any modalities from, cognitive and all
major bodywork modalities and techniques. A fantastic modality for all ages
from babies to the elderly.
DRY NEEDLING
Dry needling is a procedure using acupuncture needles inserted in the skin,
muscle, tendon and ligament directly at myofascial trigger points. Using dry
needling create’s a neural response that gives a deep release of trigger points.
RELAXATION/THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE
Relaxation massage is exactly that, a modality to relax and calm the system, to
a relaxed state. Swedish massage is generally regarded as a relaxation/
therapeutic massage.
TUI NA MASSAGE THERAPY (ACUPRESSURE AND CHINESE MEDICAL MASSAGE)
These modalities are all derived from Chinese medicine and physiology as
most bodywork in the world today can pay homage to. Tui nai is a pinch and
pull technique primarily but has other techniques in its repertoire as well.
Acupressure is applied similarly to TPT but to the meridian points of the body
that help to balance the Chi energy which is stored in our major organs. Using
this technique can assist the efficiency and function of our whole body
systems, physically, mentally and emotionally, creating harmony and balance.
